These events are organized and logistically supportive of all types of bike riders. There is food and drink to fuel your ride and planned rest areas along the routes. There is mechanical and medical service along the routes and there is also SAG if help is needed. It is inspiring and amazing to see those who live with MS, participate in these events. Most riders are riding because they know someone with MS or have lost someone to MS. We choose to ride to give back to our community and to help others. One mile at a time and with every pedal stroke we are changing the world for people with MS.

We have participated in many MS Bike Events, from MS 150 Breakaway to the Beach (Charlotte to Myrtle Beach) 1 time, BP MS 150 Houston to Austin (5 times), MS 150 Citrus Tour( Fantasy of Flight to Omni Orlando) 3 times.

These events provide an inspiring atmosphere where everyone cycling can share in camaraderie, passion, and fun.

These rides commence at Omni Orlando at Championsgate, and take you through the backroads of Polk County through orange groves and into Haines City, Dundee, and Winter Haven and returning to the Omni Orlando for post-ride festivities and presentations. The Omni Orlando partners with the MS Citrus Bike tour to provide discounted stay at the resort and you will get meal tickets for the Awards dinner on Saturday.

The MS Citrus Bike Tour – May 2020, the actual ride dates are TBD but should be announced later this year.

Come out and join Team Purple Crank and enjoy two days of fun-loving cycling. We stay on-site at the Omni usually provide a pre-race Friday night team dinner to all participants, enjoy Team Purple Crank gear and help us raise money for those folks who have lost the fight and those who carry on each day with the debilitating disease.

Think about why you might ride and share your story? If you are not a cyclist, you can join the team and ride at your own pace; we will not leave or drop any riders. We challenge each of you to step up in this battle and be part of something very special to our hearts.
